Kirstin Swanson
Administrator
Kirstin Swanson joined Wentworth Home in 2012 as our Administrative Assistant, became our Office Manager in 2013, and was promoted to Assistant Administrator in 2016. In May of 2018, Kirstin stepped into the role of Administrator, bringing a commitment to serve our residents with the signature care and respect that Wentworth Home is known for. She has over 25 years of experience in administrative support and management, and is passionate about providing residents with the most excellent care possible. Kirstin earned a B.A. in Managerial Psychology (1990) from Keene State College, a Certificate in Accounting (2010), a Certificate in Gerontology (2016) from Southern New Hampshire University, and certification as a Dementia Capable Care Specialist (2021). She lives in Dover with her husband and stepson, loves the beach, and enjoys cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her rambunctious nephew!
Karen Dionne
Director of Nursing
Karen Dionne joined Wentworth Home as one of our valued LPN Charge Nurses in June of 2016, and in November 2017, she became our Resident Care Supervisor. She brings diverse experience in a variety of nursing environments, including long-term care, medical offices, and assisted living. She attended Van Nuys College in California, earning her Medical Assistant Diploma and her Certified Nurses Aide Certificate. Spurred by her love of nursing and providing superior resident care, she continued her education at Intercoast Careers College, receiving her Licensed Practical Nurse diploma in 2013. Karen lives in Berwick, Maine and has three children as well as two beloved cats. She loves animals and enjoys music, movies and anything that involves summertime!
Theresa Nixon
Activities Director
Theresa joined Wentworth Home in 2022 as our Activities Coordinator and brings a variety of strong skills and accomplishments to our activities department. Theresa attended North Shore Community College where she obtained her Associates Degree in Science, Occupational Therapy Assistant. Before joining us at Wentworth Home, she worked to provide skilled nursing residents with therapeutic interventions to assist them in maintaining their independence and dignity. From there, it was a natural transition to Activities, providing residents with activities that that stimulate the mind, body & soul.
Theresa enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband Paul, her two children and their pet Pippit. You can also catch her enjoying arts and crafts, jewelry making, anything outdoors, traveling and photography.
